Citycover (Aust) Pty. Ltd. is a progressive Insurance Brokerage and Financial Services provider. It is located in Fortitude Valley, close to the heart of the City of Brisbane. Citycover has grown into one of the most sizeable brokerages in Brisbane and has serviced its clients since 1972. Citycover (Aust) Pty. Ltd. is comprised of several companies. They are:

DF McGarry & Associates, which was founded in 1972 and specialises in General Insurance. Mr. Dermot McGarry, who had controlling interest at the time, sold his interests to Tony Graves, Mark Sandow and Austbrokers Holdings on the 1st of January, 2007. Currently, Mr. Graves, Mr. Sandow and Austbrokers Holdings are the major shareholders of Citycover.

Citycover (Aust) Pty. Ltd. had its official beginnings in April of 1982. There have been several different directors over the years, but on 1st of January, 2008, two directors with significant shares sold their holdings in the company to Mr. Graves and Mr. Sandow. The director, Stewart Harker, continued with Citycover after its sale and is the other major shareholder.

Scarborough Insurance Broking was formed in 1992. The owner of Scarborough Insurance Broking, Peter Scarborough, sold his portfolio to the current Shareholders of Citycover effective 1st of January, 2009.

Citycover’s values are founded on providing excellent service and quality advice to its clients. The business model is focused on maximising profits through the use of organic and new business strategies, and using innovative marketing approaches. Citycover boasts a Gross Written Premium which is in excess of $26,500,000.00.

The company's main focus lies on servicing SME clients. Clients can benefit from targeted insurance solutions for specific markets such as transport, plant and equipment, caravan parks, concrete pumpers, restaurants, hairdressers, personal line and eco-tourism. In addition to products for these markets, Citycover also offers financial service products for Income Protection and Life Insurance.

The specialists at Citycover are equipped and trained to handle specific types of portfolios such as SME, Domestic Motor, Plant and Equipment, Complex PI and Public Liability Programs. There are currently three Broker Teams, a Claims Team and an Administration and Processing department, which are all capable and ready to handle any situation. Each client receives specialised and individual attention.

Citycover’s buying power is strong as a direct result of its size. It is recognised by all of the major insurers because of the large portfolio it carries. Because of this, they are members of all underwriters “special” Programs such as Zenith, Blue Eagle and Preferred Brokers.
