Home Insurance

Home insurance policies can provide cover for a range of insured events to protect your home and contents usually with $20 million legal liability cover included.

These policies can include cover for damage or loss caused by:

• storm, lightning, earthquake
• rain, flood, and fire
• riot or civil commotion
• malicious acts, theft or attempted theft
• collision, falling trees or branches
• accidental escape of liquid (eg. from washing machines, toilets or hot water systems)
• accidental glass breakage, and
• electrical motor burnout.

Benefits can include:

• new for old replacement*
• various choices of excess available on building and contents to help reduce premiums
• cover for all reasonable costs for rebuilding such as demolition, architect and solicitor fees, on top of the building sum insured, and
• optional worldwide cover for loss or damage to valuables.

For clients wanting a broader level of protection we can extend your policy to provide cover for accidental damage (instead of insured events) to protect your home and/or contents.

Landlord Insurance

Landlord Insurance is designed for landlords to insure their investment properties while they rented out.

The policies typically include all coverage and benefits of Home Insurance (excluding optional worldwide cover for loss or damage to valuables) as well as:

• landlord’s furnishings up to 5% of the building sum insured, and
• optional covers for loss of rent due to an insured event or tenant default.

A Strata Title Mortgage protection option is also available for landlords, in the event of loss or damage caused by an insured event.

Comprehensive Motor Insurance

Motor Insurance policies can provide cover for motor vehicles, including those used for business purposes. The cover provided by these policies can include:

• legal liability cover of up to $20 million for damage to other people’s property, their injury or death caused by the insured’s vehicle
• the option to insure vehicles for either market value or agreed value
• reasonable costs to tow and store a vehicle if it can’t be driven following loss or damage
• a lifetime guarantee for all repairs
• limited cover for loss or damage to personal items in the vehicle, that are stolen or damaged as a result of an accident
• up to $1,000 towards replacing vehicle keys and re-coding locks if the vehicle keys are stolen, and
• provision for some hire car costs following a not-at-fault accident, or if the vehicle is stolen.

Third party property damage and bodily injury

This cover includes:

• legal liability up to $20 million for the death or bodily injury of another person and for loss or damage to other people’s property caused by your vehicle
• up to $5,000 for the insured vehicle if you are involved in an accident caused by an uninsured driver, and

optional fire and theft cover for when the vehicle is damaged as a result of a fire, theft or attempted theft, lightning or explosion.

Recreational Vehicle Insurance

Recreational Vehicle Insurance offers cover for recreational vehicles including motor homes, caravans, camper trailers, relocatable homes, and horse floats. For further information on these covers please speak to your account manager.

Watercraft

Watercraft Insurance covers all types of watercraft from canoes and rowboats, to motor boats, sailboats and yachts. We also have insurance available for jet-skis and other types of recreational watercraft.

Personal Travel Insurance

A Travel Insurance policy helps to cover you for things like medical expenses, personal baggage and cancellation charges, leaving you free to enjoy your trip.
