    • I found a really cheap quote online, why is it so cheap?

      Insurance is like any other product, you pay for what you get. There are many different insurers offering policies in different shapes and forms.

      Service is extremely important.

      This is the difference between a claim being paid out over night and a claim being paid out painstakingly over a year. Cheap premiums are on offer because costs are being cut elsewhere.

      Coverage is also extremely important.

      This is the difference between your claim being paid out or not paid out at all. Quite often, this results in financial burden in the long run.

    • What factors affect how the Premium is calculated?

      Factors affecting Premium calculation include:

      • The Length of your trip
      • Any additional benefits you might need
      • Existing medical conditions you might have
      • Your Destination/s
      • The travel plan chosen, including International, Budget, Annual Multi Trip and Australian.
    • When should I arrange cover?

      You should arrange this policy as soon as you book your travel arrangements. This way you have protection in place against costs arising from unexpected cancellations.

    • What do I do if something happens to my family or I and we are overseas?

      Citycover’s professional Claims team are available 24/7. In addition to this, the Insurers also provide advice and assistance in the event of a medical emergency.

      We will ensure you have all of our contact details and those of the Insurer, including a copy of your Policy Schedule – before you travel.

    • How fast can a policy be arranged?

      We can normally arrange a policy on the spot and once the premium has been paid, we can issue the Certificate of Insurance immediately.

    • How do I make a claim?

      As your Adviser, you will always contact Citycover in the first instance and we will guide you through the claims process as this can vary from insurer to insurer.

    • I have a pre-existing medical condition. Can I still get cover?

      We can often still arrange cover, however, it will depend on the type of condition, and its severity, as to the level of cover we can obtain.

      We will ask you for details of any pre-existing conditions you or your family might have during our initial discussions.  Then we will talk to the insurers on your behalf and negotiate the best outcome we can for you.
